One of the things that drew our interest to MathHelp.com were the reviews and testimonials by homeschoolers:

  • "Lessons are very thorough and offer a number of ways for students to learn and practice the material. Explanations are excellent. This is one of the most truly 'independent-learning'; math courses available."

We used MathHelp.com (formerly known as YourTeacher) in a free trial this year. My son is not fond of Math and doesn't 'gel' with much of what I've tried. However, we both really liked using MathHelp.com (formerly known as YourTeacher). The lady instructor is pretty and has a nice voice. We liked the practice questions and the tips to help when you get stuck. He was able to do his book work in front of the computer. For once, I didn't have to struggle to convince my son to do Math, he was there ready to begin his lessons.

I chose to use MathHelp.com (formerly known as YourTeacher) as a review for the end of the year. I wish we had been using it all year! Easy to use for my son and I. Also, the background lessons are a great help when he struggles with something.

This program is so well organized, thought-out, and logical it makes it easy for me to teach Pre-Algebra to my grandson. There is a teacher/video for each section through the whole course. Then there is a quiz after each unit, all automatically logged into the child's progress document. There are chapter tests with answer keys (also on the progress documents) which can be printed, and extra worksheets with answer keys for the tough spots. I plan to use MathHelp.com (formerly known as YourTeacher) for all their courses going forward. Worth t...(more)

This is a terrific program for students and parents. It allows the student to proceed at his/her own pace with full access to well-produced teaching videos, written examples and explanations, practice problems, and assessments. Parents have access to the student's progress reports as well as all student work and videos so they can oversee the work without having to teach daily lessons. My students are learning and enjoying their math lessons, and so am I!

I am so thankful for Your Teacher. My 12 yo son was intimidated by math, but with Your Teacher, every topic is explained fully and consistently with video and printable material for extra practice. It was always a struggle to get him to work in his Saxon workbook, but Your Teacher appeals to his visual learning style with real teachers doing the lesson on a white board. Parents can keep track of lessons completed and the overall score of quizzes completed. No cartoons, no cutesy graphics, no games, yet he loves it! Since math has never been my ...(more)

This is a great program. Online lectures, exercises, test and quizzes. My daughter needs a textbook for math and we loved the fact that MathHelp.com (formerly known as YourTeacher) allows you to track to the chapter and page number of a large list of great textbook choices. We will be using them again.

My 13 year old son loves yourteacher.com! He and I were finishing chores around the house one day and he said, "Do you need anything else done?" I replied "No, why?". He said "I want to go and get my math score up!". He loves doing the tests until he gets 100%. He loves the instant feedback and he is choosing to do more math than I would ever assign him. We love it!

I wish I had found this website first.Theother math websites did not help as much as this one does. I will certainly recommend this website to others as the best website for math on the Internet!

I am mathematically challenged, but my children LOVE math! I'm so thankful for the free summer subscription to MathHelp.com (formerly known as YourTeacher)! My 13 year old is starting 8th grade this year and is almost finished with algebra already! She likes having a person on the screen talking and working the problems rather than just voice and graphics. a full subscription my be on my list soon!

My son, who is in the 10th grade this year, has "always" struggled with math. I found this program through the homeschool buyers co-op and decided to try it. We did geometry last year and he finished with an 85.4 average, which was absolutely great for him! But we were dreading Algebra I this year. I really didn't know if he would be able to do it or not. But right now he has a 92.1 average. As he was doing some word problems a few days ago, (they have always been the hardest for him), he was so excited and said, "Who would have ever th...(more)
