This summer we've been trying out the MathHelp.com (formerly known as YourTeacher) Algebra 2 with my tenth grade daughter. It has been just what we needed. She watches the demonstrations and is usually able to complete the assignments without any further explanation from me. The demonstrations are very thorough. We love the program!

The YourTeacher.com Algebra I lessons are clear and understandable. My son found the self-tests to be good, although sometimes frustrating, as he had to start all over again on the 5-question "test" each time he went back to the lesson for help. Sometimes he was on the last question when that happened. The student does get 10 tries for the self-tests, though. This program provides more practice on each lesson's "new skill" than Teaching Textbooks does, and it also tends to explain it more quickly than TT. However, there is l...(more)

My daughter loves this program. She actually enjoys math now and is rocking an A in 8th grade alegebra.

We really enjoy using YourTeacher.com with our middle schooler. It's ease of use is great for our son and he particularly likes that he can pre-test if he wants to. The lessons are walked thru with a teacher on a whiteboard, extra problems are given if needed, printables are available, and it is easy to keep track of what has been completed as well as well as their scores.

This site is a great tool for parents with students at different levels, it allows for independent work with a tracking system, and is very easy to use. We are hoping...(more)

Two words: life saver! My daughter was struggling with pre-algebra and "hated" math. I was already dreading trying to teach her algebra next school year. She loves MathHelp.com (formerly known as YourTeacher)! The lessons are easy for her to follow, and she likes being able to repeat the videos as many times as she needs to until she gets it. I like the gradebook feature that makes it very easy for me to certify her grades. We highly recommend MathHelp.com (formerly known as YourTeacher) and will definitely be purchasing the year license for he...(more)

Have an algebra student who hates math, and has trouble learning from a book? So did I!! But since we found YourTeacher.com, that all changed....Bobby LOVES it!!
Tracy Chard, Co-op Member
My son, who is in the 10th grade this year, has "always" struggled with math. I found this program through the homeschool buyers co-op and decided to try it. We did geometry last year and he finished with an 85.4 average, which was absolutely great for him! But we were dreading Algebra I this year. I really didn't know if he would be able to do it or not. But right now he has a 92.1 average. As he was doing some word problems a few days ago, (they have always been the hardest for him), he was so excited and said, "Who would have ever th...(more)

This is the best online math tutorial I have ever seen. The teachers are excellent and the explanations are clear as crystal. The lessons are short, understandable and not too wordy. The interactive features are easy to use. My son struggles with math and he is learning a lot from this program. Highly recommended! YourTeacher.com is the best!

This program has worked well with my homeschool students. We love how the videos can be played as many times as needed, and are easy to understand.

Love this. I've used it both as a virtual tutor to find specific explanations and practice problems for a student struggling in a course, and as a stand alone Algebra 2. The Algebra 2 student likes being able to skip back to Algebra 1 or any other course when he needs a quick review of a more basic concept.
The pratice problem feature, which lets a student first get a hint, then check the answer, then get a brief explanation, is excellent.
The instructors in these videos speak more calmly and clearly than the highly caffeinated Prof. ...(more)
