Love it! I am forever amazed by the progress my son is making using Mapping the World by Heart. He has a much better understanding of the location of remote countries, and even some smaller details like rivers, mountains, etc. My son enjoys the tasks and seems to learn and grow with each lesson.

I can't really comment on the overall outcome as we have only just begun using this course and we only do it a couple of times a week. However, my son is always keen to do it so that is exciting for me and he has a fresh interest in discovering where places are on the globe or in the atlas.

Haven't used it with my children as of yet, but my husband and I are both impressed with what we have read so far.

I've enjoyed how useful the manual is. Suggestions make it easy to tailor for the different settings in which I teach. For middle school co-op, I used the intro hands on lessons, like the grapefruit lesson that shows why there are distortions in 2D maps that represent our 3D world of longitude and latitude. Materials helped me bring home ideas to new geography students AND challenge those classroom experts. I plan to use the entire manual extensively with my own high school children.

I love many of the ideas in this book, they have some interesting projects. The maps and the explanation of them are great. We haven't used much of it yet, but are incorporating bits and pieces of it as we go along. I love that there is no copyright on the maps so that I can make multiple copies and not worry about using the same map for multiple things.

We have not officially started this yet...but I am very excited about the ease, simplicity and fun that this program offers. My girls have been doing a computer based program that is just plain boring for them. This looks to be something we can do together, have fun while doing it and actually learn...(and want to learn)...not just memorize facts...(which in my case never stuck! ;o) Will let you know more in a few far though, we are pumped and ready to start in Jan.

We ordered "Mapping the World by Heart" earlier this fall and have just dipped our feet into it so far. But I am excited about using it and have been impressed with the material. I'm using it with my older daughters (ages 10-17), and my younger boys (6 and 8) can't resist joining in most of the time. I look forward to seeing how we progress over the year, and I am particularly eager to have a better map of the world in my own heart.

This is a GREAT program-so much fun because it includes a lot of hands-on activities, which my 10 year old loves. The challenge of eventually being able to map the world from memory is very exciting to her. The program has some nice flexibility to it, so it can be realistically altered for individual use without compromising the learning experience.
It is a fun and engaging way to teach geography. I know this can be a dry experience for some kids, so this is a fun way to learn it. Very fun when paired with the Stack the Countries app, which ...(more)

I love Mapping the World By Heart! I am also teaching the Mapping the US by Heart section to teach 11 kids in our homeschool group. I would recommend this to anyone that wants their child (or themselves) to learn geography. We have lots of fun with it, while learning quickly and easily.

Although we are not very far into the lessons, I love the scope and sequence of this curriculum. The children are not intimated by the lesson requirements and I find preparation time is minimal. We enjoy this subject.
