What are the System Requirements?

Mango is a web-based program. Aside from an Internet connection, users need a modern browser and to make sure their Adobe Flash Player and Java are up to date.

Is Mango Languages compatible with mobile devices?

Yes, it is! Mango is compatible with:

  • Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch) running iOS 7.0 or higher
  • Android phones and tablets running Android 4.0 or higher
  • Kindle Fire (2nd Gen and above), Fire HD, and Fire HDX tablets.

How is the Homeschool Version of Mango sold by the Co-op different from the public version of Mango that is found for free in some public libraries?

According to Mango Languages, roughly one-third of public libraries offer a free, limited version of Mango Languages. Here are the differences:

  • The Homeschool Version has double the content for the top 10 languages, including Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Chinese.
  • The Homeschool Version has 4 units (40 chapters) versus 2 units (20 chapters) in the free Public Version.
  • The Homeschool Version gives you 125 hours of language study versus 56 hours in the Public Version.
  • The Homeschool Version has assessments and tracking, and the Public Version does not.
  • The Public Versions may contain some risque content that is not included in the Homeschool version.
  • The Homeschool Version does grading, the Public Version does not.
  • The Homeschool Version includes chapter tests, unit tests, parent tracking, and group accounts. The Public Version does not.
