What a great piece of history! You can see the markers of the very first flights made by the Wright Brothers. The museum is full of information all about the brothers. There are many pictures of famous pilots including astronauts. There is also a replica of the famous glider used by the Wright Brothers. When we visited, our daughter was taught how to make a kite out of a black garbage bag and then got to fly it. There are Rangers on hand to answer questions and offer talks. You can also take a hike up to the Wright Brothers Memorial. It's a great place to visit.

Excellent destination for those who love North Carolina history and aviation! The park rangers gave a such riveting presentation of the life story of the Wright Brothers. They were very helpful and were available to answer questions.

You can bring your pet to walk around in the grounds, although pets are not allowed in the buildings.

If you find yourself in the Outer Banks area, make a point to see this national treasure! You will not be disappointed.
