My children visit this museum at least once a year. They particularly enjoy the panorama on the main floor. The panorama is a display of real animals (after their visit to the taxidermist) in their natural habitats (behind glass). The display is very realistic and detailed. Every time you visit you can find something you didn't notice before. The dinosaur bones and fossils on the lower floor are our second favorite display and then we also enjoy the live bees and live snakes upstairs. Displays rarely change, but my kids like looking for the one or two new or different things each time. Last time we were there admission was a suggested donation and very reasonable. A visit to the Natural History Museum and Spencer art Gallery then lunch in the Union or by Potter's pond is a good field trip day.
