Description: | Built originally as summer homes for well-to-do Louisville families who wanted to escape the heat of the city, the site became an enclave for artisans dedicated to preserving and extending the tradition of hand weaving. Today, Little Loomhouse continues the folk art tradition of weaving and other textile arts through education, conservation and arts participation. |
