Facility:The History Museum for Springfield - Greene County
Description:In the History Museum's permanent exhibits, the visitor can explore the rich and unique heritage of this part of the Ozarks region. Beginning with the region's prehistoric origins, the displays take the visitor through the earliest settlement of the region, on to the upheaval of the Civil War, and into the period of growth that followed. The permanent exhibit concludes in the late 1950s, when Springfield was named an All-American City. Groups may schedule guided tours of the exhibits.
