This place is AWESOME!! Highly recommended! This Science discovery place is great for all ages even adults will be enthralled and want to spend the same amount of time your kids does! There are so many fascinating exhibits that you need to plan to be there for awhile or plan a second trip. We took our lunch and was able to eat inside in a hallway where they have a couple of tables. There is an area for little ones to safely play as well as areas for activity, thought, interaction, pretend play, physics, science, magnets, puzzles, to put on your own cooking or news show, a cave area to walk through, you name it, they probably have it! There was also a nice little gift shop with interesting scientific items like color changing pencils and cups, hand boilers, break-your-own geodes and much more. As homeschoolers, I would suggest calling ahead to be sure there isn't going to be a school field trip attending and to go then and/or during the day on a week day so you can fully enjoy the exhibits w/o a long wait. This place is a must do!

BOth of my sons have been here with their public school classes last year. It was so much fun! THough it will be nicer when we go just as a family. So much to do and to build on as a learning experience. Will be going again soon.

My kids have been going to Discovery Science Place for the past 9 years. It is best for elementary aged children, though middle schoolers find things they enjoy as well. The imagination area is FANTASTIC for little kids; my preschoolers, toddlers, and early elementary can spend hours there.
