K.V., Co-op Member Been here a handful of times, winter or summer it's amazing to see all the animals in habitat! You get to watch some babies be fed, adults too. Let the kids guide you like a scavenger hunt. Guess what the animals are, age, where they came from...make it fun! Heather, Co-op Member This is a fun zoo. The animals here look bigger than other zoos that I have visited. The polar bears are active and playful. We are able to see the seals up close. The grizzly bears were up close and it was fun to watch them play. Heather, Co-op Member This zoo has lots of animals that we don't see at other zoos. Their are reindeer, eagles, mountain goats, snow owl, red fox, and many others. The polar bears are also bigger at this zoo than any other that I visited. Joyce D., Co-op Member The Alaska Zoo is a bit small, but very enjoyable. The zoo has been making improvements to their animal habitats and is expanding their Polar Bear project. My kids loved visiting the zoo and seeing the variety of animals that live there.
