My children & I have been to the museum a couple of times. We have actually been to a number of train attractions, and I particularly enjoy the museum because it was interesting to ME too! There are many, many historically restored train engines and cars you can board and tour. I enjoyed seeing the styles of interiors from different time periods of U.S. history. There is also a good sized working model train and an exhibit of train memorabilia that adults will enjoy, including a large train china collection.

This is a good rain or shine attraction, because most of the cars are inside two large buildings. There is a short caboose ride you can purchase tickets for an additional fee; good value for the price. There is also a smashed penny machine!

I give this trip 4 stars because it appeals to mom, dad, and your train crazy kids!
