The Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill is a short drive south of Lexington. This restored village is serene and beautiful and reflects the lives and work of the Shakers to perfection. Plan to spend at least one night in a Shaker building, walk the peaceful grounds, listen to singing in the Meeting House and learn from the living history experts, wander through the herb garden, take the kids on the riverboat ride. Have been there twice and will return.
