Description:Older than the Nation, Scottsville was founded in 1744. Located on the Horseshoe Bend of the scenic James River in the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in Albemarle Country. A quietly charming village, Scottsville celebrates its history with various events and festivals throughout the year including a Farmer's Market, a June Batteaux Festival, a Traditional Hometown Fourth of July parade, and in September, JamesFest.
