Facility:Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies
Description:Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies is literally teaming with life. Their 10,000 exotic sea creatures comprise more than 350 individual species. There are more fish in this aquarium than there are people living in the entire town of Gatlinburg. Although Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies is hundreds of miles from the ocean, the scenic beauty and the abundance of water all around make the town of Gatlinburg a "natural" location for a world class aquarium, America's most fun aquarium.

If your looking for a different type of Aquarium this is for you. We bought our tickets online (a must) so we didn't have to wait in line.
As soon as you go in you will get your picture taken, then on to the show. There is a LOT of different types of fish, we couldn't find one of the fish's name any where. But everyone else had name plates. Make sure you know how to turn your flash off and take pictures. Some rare to see are in low lighted area no flash allowed.
You can ride on a conveyor belt in the Shark Tunnel. It is slow and easy to get on and off to see all around in the Tunnel.
Then on to the Penguines!! You can crawl in tunnels so you can see up close. There are Aquariums you can crawl under and see all around as well.
We rode on the boat tour on the shark tank. It was very informational but the guys that ran it was ready to leave so don't go near 5. We recive 4 or 5 diffrent packages of pictures to remember our first trip, make sure you save money for them.
All in all we had a blast and learned a lot.
