Your whole family will enjoy, and your younger kids (age 12 and under) will ABSOLUTELY LOVE, this fantastic place! Central to the museum is a huge 3-story climbing structure, similar to what you may have seen if you've ever been to the Jungle, but much more parent-friendly. Climb with your little ones through an exciting maze of rope bridges, ladders, rock walls, tunnels, and more. The very littlest climbers will need an occasional helping hand.

In addition to the climbing structure, this place also has a supervised open-ended art room where your little Picassos and Cassats can create to their hearts' content using a wide variety of donated and recycled art materials.

Additionally, you can explore the mysteries of ancient Egypt, visit a mystery house with clues leading to the locations of the occupants, or watch a live presentation (the time we went, we saw, and touched, several small animals; our kids even got a chance to be on the stage.)

We didn't see everything there was to see; definitely worth a re-visit.

If you plan to go, be sure to get your parking validated inside. Strollers and bag lunches are ok, and there is fast food nearby. There are also lockers, and vending machines offering healthy (and not-so-healthy) snacks and many diaper-bag items.

Membership - with ACM reciprosity - is also available.

Well worth it! Port Discovery is fun for all ages alike. The climbing structure is a hit with everyone, as well as the hands-on activities surrounding it on all levels. The workshop area is a great place to create some great artwork. The little ones will enjoy the interactive nature of the center. There are a lot of opportunities for fun and learning; something that will require multiple trips.
