Facility:Oregon City Trolley
Description:Take a ride on one of three trolleys in historic Oregon City. Helen, Josephine and Marguerite travel throughout Oregon City's Historic District with stops at such places as The End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center, The McLoughlin House, The Barclay House and the Ermatinger House. Trolleys run
every 6 to 10 minutes at nine different locations on the route. You can get on and off as you please and tour some of the museums on the route. Or walk around historic Oregon City and see the Carnegie Center (which was the old Oregon City library), the fire station, as well as historical points of interest and shops. The driver of the trolley gives a great history lesson, pointing out where notable people of Oregon City lived, where important documents were signed, and even how Portland, Oregon was named after Portland, Maine.
