This has to be one of the neatest places in Texas! Very much worth the money spent on admission. You drive up to the entrance and can get out and visit giraffes or, closer to the gift shop, lemurs, monkeys, and chickens, as well as peacocks roaming the grounds. There is also a nice restaurant on site. You can then get in your car and head into the park--make sure you and the kids use restrooms first, because the park is HUGE and takes a while to get through. Buy some animal food when you pay for admission, and you just roll down your windows as you drive through the park...some animals (zebras!) come right up to the windows and eat. The ostriches are scary! Our family brought a friend from South Africa who said that the terrain and animals all felt very authentic, and she said it was one of the best "wildlife" experiences she had ever had! Remember in the summer it can get hot going through with all your windows down, so bring lots of water and sunscreen even though you'll be in your car. The gift shop has really neat, classy items. I love this place and highly recommend it for all ages!

This wild life park is wonderful! Absolutely buy the feed at the entrance, get at least 2 bags. The best time to go is early when the park first opens. This way you get in front of the feed truck the park sends out and all the animals come right up to your vehicle for food. Watch out for the zebras though, one stuck his head in our vehicle and stole the whole bag of food right out of my lap! The best vehicle to use is a pickup truck with lawn chairs in the back! After you go through the wildlife park check out the cave right next door and cool off from the summer heat!
