Facility:Museum of the Aleutians
Description:A wonderful museum on the windswept island of Unalaska and it's international port of Dutch Harbor. 800 air miles from Anchorage, AK, the museum tells the history of the Aleutian Islands of Alaska. The story of it's native people, the impact of WWII to the island (it was bombed by the Japanese and the land still bares the scares), and the story of the modern day fishing and crabbing industry which has transformed the area are all told through wonderful exhibits.
