If you are ever in Mobile AL it is worth a visit to this great history museum. Even thought this covers the history of Mobile, form beginning with pioneers, it is a great history museum for anyone that wants to see history of the US. It has so many different rooms with different time periods and several stories tall. There is a huge beautiful staircases with an big center atrium that has statues inside. for the handicapped and elevator is available. Each room not only has artifacts, but giant wall size scenes, or displays with lots of notes on history.

See old Native American hand made canoe, cannons, old ship parts and items from ships, lots of civil war things from field notes,guns, to a small replica of a civil war submarine you can sit in and turn wheel( row), children's toys, huge mirrors, dinning tables set with style, silver place setting and tea sets, Full size horse drawn carriages with even a stuffed horse pulling a hearse, Lots o antique furniture and great works of art. Lots and lots of things to see and experience.
