We took our homeschool co-op to this museum and it was one of our favorite field trips so far. We took the self-guided tour. There is so much aviation history to see and read about, even a cockpit or two to try out. We took picnics and ate at the nice picnic area near the parking lot. I absolutely recommend this field trip and would go again in a minute.

Just one hint...don't miss the entrance to the museum or you just might find yourself at the entrance of the military base...like we did!!!

Oh, this is a fun field trip! Lots of things to see, read, and do. Kids can walk all around (and in some) planes that are on the field; they can see all kinds of flight machines, too.

It's near Macon, Ga., with all its history, too.

What is better than a free field trip??

This facility has so much to offer every age group. Old timers will enjoy the great exhibits and history and the kids will love all the hands-on activities. There is quite a bit to see and will involve some walking, however, you can take a break at the Victory Cafe and enjoy a snack in between looking at exhibits or the fantastic gift shop. You can also bring your lunch and enjoy eating under the pavilion outside.

The facility also offers homeschool classes during the year for different ages and plenty of camps and activities for everyone in the summer.

This trip is a no brainer. Don't miss it!

This was an amazing place to visit there are so many things to see, from the replicas of the first flying machines to the stealth bomber. We were there for four hours and did not see it all, we will be going again soon.
