Facility: | Minto Museum and Information Centre |
Description: | The Minto Museum and Information Centre is the perfect place to learn all about Minto and its peoples history. It is located in what use to be the train station on Main Street. There are many very interesting artifacts in the museum. Come and see the historic photographs of the old trains and the miners hard at work. Take some time to read old newspaper clipping from many years ago. There is a whole room full of old tools used at both the train station and down in the mines. Also, there's a room dedicated to some of the old miners who worked in Minto. They share some of their personal stories of the hard work they did and the troubles they had to overcome. |
