I can't say enough wonderful things about this park. It is a hidden treasure. The staff is always incredibly friendly and willing to work with you to put together a program that fits your needs. It is a small nature center but my kids really enjoy the bird watching area. There is always something to see. They offer free classes all the time. The trails are not difficult to hike so it is nice for small kids. There is also a creek that is great to explore for creatures. They also allow you to borrow many items from the nature center such as nets, binoculars and GPS units. There are only a couple downfalls to this park. There is no playground to occupy smaller kids while older kids participate in programs and there is only one shelter for picnics. Other than that, this is a nice quiet retreat.
