We have taken several field trips to the Magik Theater, and we have been very pleased with every experience. The plays are very high quality and engaging for children and adults alike. We have always read the book before seeing the plays, and the experience has always helped my children gain comprehension and appreciation for good stories. It is also wonderful exposure to different forms of art including drama, music, and set design. An excellent field trip opportunity that you won't want to miss!

The Magik Theatre is one of our favorite places to visit as a family. The shows are always high quality and based on popular literature or shows. They are hilarious and may often have a bit of a twist to them. We've attended MANY shows and brought friends of all ages. It is such a joy to see their happy expressions during and after the visit. We haven't heard any disappointing comments. We almost always read the books prior to or after our visit which enables us to compare the book to the show. The company frequently offers study guides tot he shows which usually offers reading lists and educational activities you can complete. The actors and actresses are exceptional, personable, and super friendly. We enjoy asking questions about their props and eye-catching scenery. We look forward to seeing their costume creations and the singing is usually great. There is one actor who can really belt out a great tune and gets the entire audience involved. He's one of our favorite actors to watch and listen to. The team works hard to make the experience a positive one for all ages. At the end of every show, we patiently wait in line to meet them and to obtain signatures. This is always a fun photo opportunity. Opening days usually cost about $5 more because they have special events. LOVE, LOVE this place! I highly recommend the Magik Theatre to everyone - the entire family will enjoy the presentations.

While visiting the park on one of our trips to San Antonio we had wanted to see one of the shows, but I think there is only one show a day.
Finally we were able to see a play on our last visit. We saw The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. It was a great play! The actors were funny and entertaining. The play only left out one part of the book that wasn't missed.
Not only did my 8 yr old son love the play, but we got the book and read it on the way home to Fort Worth. It was a great time.
