My children and I visited the Lincoln Boyhood Memorial several years ago. We had a wonderful time. My older son participated in the junior ranger program while there. It is a packet that you can get when you arrive and your children fill out the worksheets as they tour the memorial. When they have them finished they can turn them in for a badge and certificate. At the time that we went this program was free.We spent the day there walking the trail and enjoying learning about Abraham Lincoln. It was fun for myself as well. I would say definitely go on a nice day so you can enjoy the outdoors and wear comfortable clothing and shoes. I would definitely like to take another trip there if we go back to Indiana.

We enjoy a trip here at least once a year. Often twice to the farm site. In the Summer, watch the farm being worked as it would have been 150 years ago!!
