Orchard Tour (Guided - $5 per person)
New this year is a riding tour through the peach and pecan orchards. Tour guides will explain the history of the peach industry in Georgia as well as how these crops are grown and harvested. Call in advance for group reservations.

Packing Line Tour (Self Guided)
Visitors can view the entire packing process from an elevated platform. If your group consists of more than 20 guests we suggest that you call in advance to set up a date and time. Individuals can take the self-guided tour at anytime during the day. Viewing the entire process should take about 30 min. There is no charge for the tours. Due to the nature of the peach crop, we cannot guarantee the packing line will run every day. Available mid May through mid August only.

Strawberry Field Trip (Guided - $5 per student)
Young students will enjoy this package tour. Tour guides will explain how strawberries are grown. Each student will pick one pound of berries and will enjoy a cup of fresh strawberry ice cream. A strawberry coloring book will be sent home with each child.

This trip is a good way to spend a lazy afternoon and also enjoy eating peach ice cream.

Lane's is know for their peaches, but they have a nice size store and gift shop with unique gifts and local produce as well as pecans. There is a good size cafe and large rocking chair porch out front. They even have a huge picture of a peach which you can stick you head behind and grab a photo op.

Different times of the year, they offer hay rides, packing demonstrations, corn maze, concerts... for the public to enjoy. They also have strawberry picking in the spring. The crops weren't so great this year. The kids get to pick strawberries, eat strawberry ice cream, and enjoy a coloring book about the process.
Hay rides are usually offered during field trips with several children or adults for just a bit extra. Make sure you save room for the ice cream!

This is a great field trip for students of all ages (including adults). They do a great job explaining the process by which peaches are picked, sorted and packaged for distribution.
They also have a cafe where you can eat lunch and get delicious dessert!
