Facility:The Children's Museum of Atlanta
Description:Imagine a place in the heart of downtown Atlanta where children are the number one priority. Imagine a place where children and grownups can learn and play together, where the wonder of a four-year-old is the most powerful image. Imagine a place where a child who has never held a paintbrush learns the joy of playing with color and a father discovers that his daughter loves to build. Imagine a place where children from all walks of life play and learn together - a place where children can touch, pull, open, close, drop, spin, dive, splash, draw, dig, paint, poke and twist - and where the line between learning and fun is invisible.

The mission of Imagine It! The Children's Museum of Atlanta is to create environments and activities where young children experience the power of imagination and the pure delight of learning with each other and with grown-ups.

We took our two boys, then ages 21 mo and 4 yrs, to this museum on our last afternoon on vacation in Atlanta. Because we went after a certain time in the afternoon, admission was half-price. I am really glad we did not pay full-price for this museum, but at half-price it was worth a trip; it didn't seem like there was enough there to keep the kids interested for 2 hours, though they did enjoy the mock grocery store area and the fishing pond.
