Facility:Homestead Heritage
Description:The Traditional Crafts Village showcases a community of craftsmen who have returned, not to the past, but to the enduring values exemplified in handcraftsmanship. True craft requires more than skill: it expresses the craftsmen's care and concern, their personal investment in everything they do. You can visit the shops of our crafts village, watch the craftsmen work, even attend classes to learn craft skills and, in all this, experience with the craftsmen the joy and fulfillment of returning to craft, the art of work.

This is such a fantastic place to visit. We visit their Homestead Fair every year the weekend after Thanksgiving. There is so much to do and see at the fair. They have a great animal petting area with lots of baby animals, a barn raising for kids and adults, hay rides, horse rides, crafts for the kids and adults to make, homemade items to buy, and lots of demonstrations.

I know they also hold classes throughout the year teaching many homestead and trade skills. Their general store is also open year round and sells may of their wonderful products. They also hold tours. This is a great place to visit! Definitely worth a trip, especially to the fair.
