The staff, especially the owner, are all very kind to the children.

This can be alot of fun or extremely boring. It depends what you expect and if you're prepared.

If you know how to break open rock with a sledge hammer, and prybar and know that you may find alot of quartz crystals or a few, then it's fun.

If you go without tools expecting to find alot then you'll be disapointed. you can find some sifting, but the best is with tools.

Hard hats are not required but are a good idea. Safety googles are a necessity. Kids also need to be old enough to be aware of their surroundings and to not throw stones.

There's camping nearby and can be a really fun trip. but keep safety in mind.
