Great place for the kids to experience life before all of the distractions we have today. Learning about the animals and the toys the shaker children played with. The guide share stories of how the Shakers lived. My children are 7 and 13 and both really enjoyed this experience.

This is a good trip for all kids. Most of the buildings are open for you to walk through. There is a small cafe or you can pack a lunch. There is a nature trail across the road. Spring time has the baby animals, summer has the animals and gardens. There is even a schoolhouse to explore.

This is a fun field trip. There are a lot of opportunities for hands-on learning (care to milk a cow or dress like a Shaker?). If you want to stretch your legs, hike the trails and enjoy the views. It's worth more than one visit.
