We came on a free day in the summer at opening time. We took the tour with a guide and found it very memorable. Our guide was knowledgable and very informed. From butter molds, to hair Art, community toothbrush, plus there were free waffles and coffee that day plus local craft vendors set up to sell. My kids ask to go back here often. They want to bring our guests here. My only complaint was the guy at the door with tour passes. Since this was our first visit we were unaware of where to go and what to do. He seemed bothered by our arrival and hesitant to share his passes for the next scheduled tour. I thought my kids (3) had maybe overwhelmed him by their somewhat thunderous entry, or maybe the number of passes for the number of guests was overwhelming. But, once we passed the grumpy guard we had a fun and leisurely stroll through
the grounds and numerous buildings.
