Incredible tour if you ever want to know what all trees can become! We visited Forest Discovery with a Kindergarten school group and my son loved it. The tour guide started our tour in the "forest", a small area decorated to simulate a forest. She asked several questions to get the children thinking about "trees" and there uses. We moved into the factory next and walked up, down and around following the belts carrying different pieces of the wood. We were inside the working factory watching the wood being cut, shredded, carried, and sorted. It was quite an amazing site. We actually walked above the factory floor to see and followed the "belts" as they were carrying wood chips and mulch to different locations to be stored. At the end of the tour, we were taken to a large room filled with information on wood, areas to play with wood items, make wood prints, play with hand carved wooden toys, watch a man carving wood objects, and explore. There was even an entire wall mural of animals carved into the wood. Unbelievable. I couldn't have imagined what all I would have seen or learned at. It was a fascinating place for the kids of all ages K and up! I enjoyed it myself.
