My son and I went on a weekday. The line was long; however, it moved quickly. Ensure you walk into the museum and receive tickets before getting the line; those who are in line, have tickets already. As you proceed through, a park ranger will take your ticket. The museum session last for about 30 minutes before heading into the theater. Once in the theater, a park ranger gave an riveting speech about the night of Abraham Lincoln was shot. Pictures can be taken of the balcony stand after the speech. Finally, a park ranger will walked the group across the street for tour of the home where Lincoln died.

There are restaurants nearby the Ford theater and street parking close by if you are luck. Once you find street parking, it is just a short walk to the National Archives, which is worth the journey.
