 | Jackie, Co-op Member | Diamondhead is a beautiful hiking experience. Make sure you come prepared with good hiking shoes, water, sack lunch and definitely sunblock. Some parts of the hike are quite steep and part of the climb is through a tunnel. If you are at all claustrophobic, this part of the trail might make you squeemish. This hike is great for older active children, maybe 10 yrs and up since it can be kind of strenuous at times. It will take about 2 1/2-3 hrs for the whole hike, and you'll spend lots of time exploring, taking pictures of the wonderful views, and just being amazed. |
