Without doing this as a group venture, it can be cost-prohibitive. The most recent popular exhibit was the Spy exhibit which cost $17 for admission to all the museums plus that particular exhibit. With the group rate, we got to see all the exhibits including the spy one and a class on Physics for $11. To get your money's worth, it is ideal to stay all day and they do not allow food/drinks to be brought in so the snack bar is your only alternative. Parking is free and it is right in front of the museum which is GREAT!
Overall, the exhibits are fantastic and they offer classes that cannot be paralleled - from Physics to Making Ice Cream. My son has enjoyed every visit! There is always something different you can do while you are there because there are so many museums plus an Imax. I would definitely recommend this!

We LOVE the Museum of Nature & Science! There are tons of hands on exhibits for kids. You can dig for fossils, make giant bubbles, work on your very own farm. They also have an IMAX theater and a smallish planetarium onsite. The planetarium programs are usually very interactive and you can request to see certain areas of the sky if there is something special you've been studying. If you live in the area you should definitely consider the Family membership with the Kids Club. You get free admission to the museum, four tickets to the IMAX, four tickets to the planetarium, and four admission tickets to the exhibits for your guests. You also get invited to free Kids Club only events at other Dallas area attractions including the Arboretum, Dallas Zoo, etc.

We love this place and have been going for years. We went many times before the merge of the two individual museums. When my kids were really small, the hands on portions of the museum for younger children was fabulous. They loved it. As they have grown, there is still many things for them to learn. We also take a picnic to eat on the grounds by the lake. We like to watch the turtles there.
