I hadn't visited the Corning Museum since I was a girl, but I remembered enough about it that I wanted to take my own children when we were in the area again. Our trip last August did not disappont! We watched several hands-on demonstrations, but my daughter loved the one on the breaking points of different types of glass because she was picked to help break the varying glass objects! My son enjoyed the hand-blown glass vase demonstration which took us through the many stages of crafting a Corning vase piece. The museum held rotating exhibits of glass sculptures and history; and the gift shop was also a high point with my family! The sculptures in the entrance way provide a great backdrop for pictures as well!
