Description:To whet your appetite, when you get to the website, take a look at what other children have published. These stories, found in the menu on the right side of the screen, are fun to read and will give you the confidence that your child has a good chance of seeing his or her own writing online!

To inspire your child to write a story for submission, select one or more of the "Story Starters" on the menu in the middle of the screen. These are prompts (suggestions for a story) that are formatted on a printable lined sheet of paper that includes a simple illustration. Just open the .pdf file, print it out, review it with your child, and encourage him or her to draw and write to their heart's content! Winning entries have been as short as one sentence or as long as ten pages, and they often even include original illustrations!
