While the visitor's center is small, the nature walk trails at Cayuga are excellent for kids, and their programs are fun and well-executed.

Be sure to check out the six story treehouse, if you stop at the Cayuga Nature Center. For my son and I, this amazing structure and the many miles of trails around the Cayuga Nature Center are the real highlights of any trip there. While the CNC building closes by 5pm during the summer and by 4pm (closed Mondays) on the "off" season, the grounds themselves are open dawn to dusk year round.
