Our family has visited the Catoctin Wildlife Preserve and Zoo many times. It is a great place to see a wide variety of animals from all over the world. We love that we can even feed some of them. The environment is rustic with dirt paths, shaded by lovely trees. The only downside for us is the cost. It is definitely worth getting a season pass if you live in the area and plan to visit more than twice per year.

My family loves this place. We live about an hour away so we by the season pass. It is worth it even if you only visit twice. For an extra cost you can take a safari ride. We like that the animals are all so close to you. One time we were there the lion which we were looking at, at the time, was talking with the tiger that is down the hill. It was very loud but so cool. Not something you see or hear everyday.
