Description:The Museum & Gallery offers a wide variety of educational programs for homeschool groups at both M&G locations. Educational tours of 10 or more are offered on various time periods in history and can be tailored to cover the specific subject matter that the group is currently learning about. Children's learning centers and scavenger hunts are available at both M&G locations and are perfect for groups that want a self-guided tour at their own pace. M&G at Heritage Green offers a once-a-month Homeschool Friday lesson, offered twice each designated Friday, which includes an interactive lesson taught by a state-certified educator, followed by a hands-on activity. For more information on educational offerings, visit www.bjumg.org or call (864)770-1331.

This museum is outstanding! The art is displayed in various galleries that contain furniture and other artifacts specific to the time period. For example, the room displaying Gothic art has original wooden panels from a church that give the sense of actually being in a church during that time period.
Self-guided tours are available as well as several scavenger hunts for children. There are numerous tours offered for children in groups of 10 or more with a reservation. The docents are knowledgeable and present information in a way that held my children's attention throughout the tour. This was truly "art appreciation" at its very best!

The museum is closed on Mondays. The hours are from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm Tuesday through Sunday. Admission for adults in $5.00. Children ages 6-12 are admitted free. Please note that children under the age of 6 are not admitted to the museum. The website gives other pertinent information and offers educational resources.
