Facility: | Blackman House |
Description: | The Blackman House is a cozy family home built by lumberman and politician Hyrcanus and his wife Ella Blackman in 1878; and it is where they raised their two children, Clifford and Eunice. Clifford and his father passed away within months of each other in 1920-21, and Eunice lived in this house with her husband Dr. William Ford until his death in 1951. Eunice remained here as a widow until the early sixties when she moved to Sacramento to live with her daughter’s family. |
