I was amazed at what a treasure this place is! If you are studying nature, gardening, or just want to have a beautiful place to run and stretch your legs, the Botanical Gardens is a worthwhile destination.

You can browse through gorgeously maintained gardens, let the kids run on the wide and well-maintained paths through the majority of the gardens, and relax next to the large koi pond in the Japanese gardens. The gift shop is another treat, and there are ongoing educational programs and lectures that go on at the gardens. More information about those is on the website or available in the gift shop.

This beautiful gardens has wonderful wooded trails to follow as well as large walkways. There is a nice sized rose garden, a Japanese garden, a large greenhouse area and several water features.

The enormous ginkgo trees at the front of the gardens are absolutely beautiful when they turn bright yellow in the Fall and the yellow leaves cover the hill when they fall off. Wonderful location for Fall leaf projects.
