We actually have a year long membership with the zoo. We usually spend a couple of hours wondering the trails. The exhibits are well marked and it is easy to locate the childrens' favorites. Sometimes the exhibits have been mislabeled with information, but the kids don't seem to mind. There are also two play grounds within the zoo that are animal themed. We usually have a bit of a snack at one and then the other while we walk through. I find this a nice feature because it gives the smaller kids a chance to rest from all the walking. There is a new lion exhibit which is one of our favorite spots to go, as well as the new "Toucan ridge". Last time we were there, the ridge wasn't entirely finished but you could still walk through. The ridge is an inside rainforest and a great place to warm up on cool days. There are pineapples growing inside and the kids love to point them all out. They've never seen pineapples growing before and were fascinated.
