A Great place that is all about education about the habate of the sanora desert. They have live shows that are educational about animals that live in this desert. They even have some seasonal live shows that are educational. There website has some worksheets that you can use after your visit.Just bring your best walking shoes you will be doing a lot of walk around at this place. They have two restrants here and they make some good food. If you are on a bugget take your own sack lunch. They have some great picnk tables on the outside by the parking area for the buss. You can see the wildlife of the desert upclose and being safe they make the people areas to view the animals like part of the animals habita encloser. The best time to view animals like bears and lions is early in the morring when they get breakfast.

This is one of our favorite "museums" in the nation! Part museum, part zoo, all educational, interesting and fun. A great place to learn about the very special Sonoran Desert and it's ecosystem. Go early, especially in summer, when the animals are most active. It's an absolutely fabulous place!

What a beautiful view of Arizona desert!
Great trails and displays of animals in the Sonoran Desert. My children especially like the "cave" they can walk through and explore in. Best to go in the cooler months. Most of it is outside!

We absolutely loved visiting this Museum. There are lots of wonderful inside displays but the outside displays were are favorites. The outside displays are set up so that you are walking through the actual desert but and learning about the flora and fauna in their natural habitat. We spent an entire day at this museum and could easily have spent more if time would have allowed.

this is a really neat place. wear good shoes. drink plenty of water. has a lot of plants and facts to read about. You get to see what kind of plants and animals live on the desert. very sunny. they have sunscreen in all the bathrooms if you forget.Go in the morning so the animals will be out. take your time and enjoy what is there. there is a place where the kids can dig and feel and learn.
