Description:Packed with information on the Army Corps of Engineers, the Civil War, a multimedia presentation on the building of Allatoona Lake, scenic overlooks and hiking trails, this is an excellent stop for any visitor to the Cartersville area. Among the many educational displays are subjects covering Native American history, the local mining industry, wildlife, recreation, hydropower, the Battle of Allatoona Pass and much more. A ten minute video depicting the history of Allatoona Lake and the surrounding area is also shown in the visitor center auditorium.
