We found out about this museum through the field trip finder Homeschool Buyer's Co-Op and we knew we had to visit. The kids really enjoyed meeting volunteer veterans and reading the history of each aircraft. We did the self-guided tour--the museum itself is very small, some areas are organized and some are not. There were a small number of aircraft in an outdoor lot where you are able to get a closer view, and in some, like the helicopters, go inside. That was my kids favorite thing to do. You can do a 1-1/2 hour visit. It doesn't take long. I wish I could post photos here for you to see.

What's special about this place is the history of each aircraft, and artifacts inside the indoor facility. Many photos and letters are part of the tour and one cannot help but think of those who risk their lives for the safety and freedom of our country. I salute the volunteers for keeping the history alive and sharing the stories behind every item.

I give it 3 stars, my kids said 4 stars :)
