What a great day trip this is. We became members right away as it was our Wednesday outing. There are enough things to see inside as there are outside, so weather is not an issue. It is clean and friendly. The animal keepers got to know us and are very friendly and knowledgeable. The zoo has FREE parking which is great. The park and grounds are well kept. Bring a stroller for the little ones. Elephants are AWESOME and real close. It's affordable and a lovely day for you and the kids.

If you live near this zoo, it is well worth the membership. You can get your exercise by walking, while the children can enjoy all the exhibits along the way. The landscaping and the animal enclosures are beautiful. They give the animals so much room to roam that you will not see them all as you walk by their habitats. No problem, if you can come back again. You might see them next time. If the weather is bad, the indoor exhibits are every bit as entrancing. The aviary is lovely. The lion corridor is the best spot. The lions have an interesting African-looking place behind thick glass. While we were there, they came right up to the window. You can look at them only inches away from your face! That is a thrill that no child, or adult, will forget! Great place, great staff, great animals.

We have had memberships to this zoo and have gone several times. On the zoo website, they have plenty of worksheet printable to accompany your trip to the zoo. It is a great little day field trip and the staff are very knowledgable. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of animals in some areas, I assume it is due to some remodeling that the zoo is undergoing. Otherwise, it is worth the trip!
