Help fuel a legacy...
When you live and study abroad as a DaimlerChrysler Global Enrichment Scholar, you are continuing a powerful legacy of work established by American Field Service ambulance drivers during the first and second world wars. These inspired men and women founded AFS Intercultural Programs so that young people could have opportunities to widen their world vision by living and learning internationally as youth ambassadors for a new generation.
In AFS's pioneering years, unprecedented exchanges operated between the U.S. and Germany. Today, AFS-USA and AFS-Germany (AFS Interkulturelle Begegnungen) are proudly the two largest members of a consortium of partner organizations in more than 50 countries, comprising a worldwide family of 100,000 AFS volunteers and nearly 1 million AFS alumni.
Get ready to go global...
DaimlerChrysler Corporation Fund knows that a truly global education is one that enables future leaders to expand their minds and horizons to exciting, new levels. Our Global Enrichment Fund Scholars live near various DaimlerChrysler facilities in the Stuttgart region, attending a typical German Gymnasium, or high school, that will help them prepare for the future. These youth ambassadors get the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel abroad, participate in a challenging academic environment, and learn about the culture and people of Germany.
