Homeschool Buyers Co-op BBB Business Review

FAQS ▼

Please read this FAQ page carefully before contacting the Co-op.
What is the difference between Family Access and the Homeschool Access option?

The Family Access allows one (1) log in on one device at a time, in a single household.

The Homeschool Access allows up to three (3) students in a single household to log on at once, on three different devices. So in a home with more than one child who wants to access the site at the same time, the Homeschool Access would be the subscription they would need.

In addition, the Homeschool Accesssubscriptions for BrainPOP and BrainPOP Jr. include MyBrainPOP.

NOTE: The Homeschool Access is for individuals homeschooling children only - not valid for schools or other organizations.

What is MyBrainPOP?

MyBrainPOP is BrainPOP's student tracking feature, and is a premium feature included with the Homeschool Access subscriptions of BrainPOP or BrainPOP Jr. only! Click here for more information on MyBrainPOP.

BrainPOP does not plan to add it to the Family Access subscriptions.

Does BrainPOP Espa˝ol + Franšais and BrainPOP ESL track my student's progress?

Currently BrainPOP Espa˝ol + Franšais and BrainPOP ESL does not track individual student progress. After taking a quiz, students have the option to print or email their quiz results to the parent/homeschool teacher.

Can my child watch the videos more than once?

Videos can be watched as many times as the student wants! Same goes for all quizzes, games, and activities.

Can I access my BrainPOP subscription from a mobile device such as an iPad?

BrainPOP's website subscriptions offered through the Co-op give access to the BrainPOP main website(s) on a desktop or laptop as well as allows you to log in on the corresponding mobile app on any platform (Android, iOS, Kindle) for no additional charge. Simply use the username provided by BrainPOP to log in across any device (up to your number of licenses).

BrainPOP also offers in app mobile only subscriptions via iTunes, Google Play, and Amazon. These types of subscriptions do not allow access to the BrainPOP main websites (which have additional activities and features), and do not allow access to any other cross-platform mobile device.

Does Brain Pop categorize by content only or also by grade level?

This is what our contact at BrainPOP has mentioned: "The content on BrainPOP is organized by subjects and units, rather than grade level. However, if a user wants to search by grade levels and standards, they can!

The standards search tool helps you locate the topics that support concepts addressed by the academic standards. Many topics can be used to teach about different concepts/skills in different grade levels. It all really depends on how you plan to use the topic in class.

Itĺs worth noting that BrainPOP is not an out-of-the-box curriculum and is meant to supplement and support the study or exploration of topics and skills. Additionally, many standards are addressed in multiple grade levels, but at different depths. We hope the standards search tool helps you navigate our content more easily.

You can also find our standards tool by clicking 'Standards' in the footer under 'About' on BrainPOP or BrainPOP Jr. You can enter your grade level there and find videos that are appropriate for the level and subject.
