| What are the age requirements? The is no age requirement, but Rosetta Stone recommends that a child be at least at a beginning reading and writing level before starting the program because those activities are included in the program. Typically this is about 6-7 years of age. There is a lesson track in the program called the Speaking and Listening Focused track that you can use for younger children which has much less reading and writing than the Full Year Curriculum. For younger children, the Speaking ann Listening focused curriculum can be applied. The selected curriculum can be changed at any time without losing credit for progress already accomplished. |

Each program can be installed onto 2 computers within the household and you can have up to 5 different usernames per installation (10 total if you have it on 2 computers). You can always delete and add usernames as needed. For example if your high schooler has finished the program, you can delete their username and add a younger child who may just be starting the program. |

According to the Full Year Curriculum outlined in the Parent's Guide, you should do the program 5 days a week for about 30 minutes a day, but this is just a suggestion. | What happens if I've installed Rosetta Stone Homeschool onto two computers and one crashes? You can always call into Rosetta Stone Customer Care at 800-788-0822 ext. 1702 and they can deactivate one or both of your installations which frees up your licenses so that you can reinstall onto a
new computer. We do recommend saving your progress in Microsoft Excel so that you will not lose any graded data. |
| Once my children are finished with the program can I resell it? Rosetta Stone does not allow resale of their products. Like many software companies, they sell a license (called an End User License Agreement or "EULA") to use their software products. This license states that that licensed product is non-transferable and cannot be resold.

| Will the new Rosetta Stone Version 4 be available through the Co-op offer anytime soon? This is what we have been told by Rosetta Stone: "Version 4 is a Personal Edition program. Version 4 is not offered for Homeschool. The Version 4 program has an online component with it that requires you to be a certain age to use it (16, I believe) so we cannot have it in the Homeschool program at this time. Our development team is looking into ways to implement in the Homeschool version but definitely not this year and it will likely be end of next year if things stay on track. We just don't have an estimated release date for this yet." |
| Does the Homeschool Version of Rosetta Stone come with Totale? What is the difference between the Homeschool Version and Totale? No, the Homeschool Version of Rosetta Stone does not include Totale. The core program, both the Homeschool Version and Totale, are exactly the same. The Homeschool program comes with Parent Administrative Tools to track and manage student progress and print out graded reports. It also comes with preloaded lesson plans. The Totale program does not come with those features, but does include an online component which is not for children under the age of 13. |
