I cannot say enough about how valuable the Pokemon Learning League has become to my family. Challenging subjects which in days past were unpleasant to get the children to do are tackled with zeal using this product. My eight year old is studying Algebra...happily and understanding what he is learning! The Life Skills lessons have been welcomed by both boys and after completing the health and nutrition lessons, they are both making better food choices on their own...Salad for dinner? No whining just compliments for the chef...Out of all the memberships and subscriptions we have used, this one has definitely paid us back hundredfold. Thanks to the Pokemon Learning League! T. I love how it is organized: first you watch a short video with Ash and friends about the topic, then you practice with Ash and his friends, and then you get to do it yourself. It is a very effective method of teaching/learning.D. Rogers, Co-op Member

I cannot say enough good things about this product. Intially I was very skeptical thinking it was just another "fluff" site. It is so far from that! There is so much opportunity to really learn on this site. I love it, my kids REALLY love it. This is a great site for those days when you just aren't quite prepared. Both my boys ages 10 and 11 BEG to use the PLL. There have been several times that when asked where they learned a certain piece of information their reply was "On the Learning League"! This is literally the best purchase I have ever made for an educational site. I have shared the info about PLL with many other parents who have also found it useful.Dyanne, Co-op Member

The first time my 9 yr old sat down to work on the PLL program he did 5 math lessons in one sitting. Within two weeks he had done all the math lessons available at that time and moved on to the science lessons.
I really do think Pokemon Learning League is a fabulous program. I have used the worksheets available with each lesson to reinforce the ideas. When my son has run into a problem on a worksheet he knows he can go back and review the lesson on the computer to help him better understand.
I especially like the Life Skills section they have developed as well and think it demonstrates that the creators of Pokemon are dedicated to teaching kids good values as well as entertaining them!!
We have gone back and looked and found that there are new math lessons and new science lessons added since he finished the math and most of the science. I hope they will continue to add new lessons.

My 9yo spends hours on her learning and going through each subject. She literally has to be pulled off the computer to get her to stop learning. Her science teacher keeps asking where she is getting her information and she tells her "Pokemon Learning League" to which we get a confused stare and then have to explain!Tabitha Orr, Co-op Member

My daughter LOVES this interactive learning website. She is 9 and the material presented is just right. She adores pokemon and this website is like pokemon school! She retains a lot of the material presented and I am impressed by the topic's diversity. I like that there are not only the basic subjects like math and english, but also science, and life skills. We purchased a subscription to Pokemon Learning League because our sons LOVE Pokemon. I figured anything to give them an opportunity to learn something is a bonus.
What I didn't count on is my sons looking forward to their lessons with the Pokemon learning league. That is fantastic! Not having to nag my kids to do their lessons is a good thing!
I like that I can look up my state's educational standards and find which Pokemon Learning League lessons tie in with those standards. That is reassuring to my husband who felt this might be too much like cartoons or video games.

I just wanted to let you know that I had bought a subscription to Pokemon Learning League before finding out about the Co-op. My son LOVES it, and requests computer time during the day to play on it. The lessons are well thought out and extremely well presented, even for poor readers - everything is spoken out loud as well as presented in writing. Since you can have 3 children on one family subscription, I have also set up and account for a boy I watch after school, and it has really helped him as well.
We especially love the Life Skills section, and the fact that they are constantly adding new material. FYI - At this time, there is no way to track what sections your child has completed, but they are working on that and I was told that will be operational within the next month or so. They even gave me a free additional month for asking! [Editor's note: This has now been added.]

We love the Pokemon learning League! My son is always mentioning how what he is studying in school is familiar because he’s done it on the Learning League. I can't believe how much my child has already learned with Pokemon Learning League. It is amazing. He recited to me in the car all the mechanics of the lunar cycle with incredible accuracy, detail, and understanding.

I have to say that I was NOT excited about my children's interest in Pokemon. Pokemon has been a part of our lives for 10 years and I'm still resisting it. I logged on after my children were asleep to check out what I was sure would be more "Pokemon" geared as opposed to educational. I found myself really enjoying it. I learned (or rather relearned) about the phases of the moon. The method was very engaging and fun. So much so that the next day I logged on to show my husband. It comes with three accounts so my two oldest children each have their own and are learning different things. Who is the third account for? Well, it is shared by...mom and dad! Oh what subjects? It has a whole list of subjects and my kids are thoroughly engaged. My five year old was telling a friend all about it yestereday (and my daughter has not played it in two weeks). My 5th and 2nd grade daughters are both fans of Pokemon and both love working on the computer. The Pokemon Learning League has been a fun addition to our homeschooling routine. The interactive lessons with their "watch, try, and apply" approach really reinforce the concepts of each lesson. I am very pleased with the functions of Pokemon Learning League. My children (ages 7 and 9) mostly use the Science section but have sampled all the others as well. They love the program very much. The only things I dislike are the levels of skill (it would be nice if there were simpler and harder 'apply' sections) and the small amount of lessons available on each topic. I wish there were enough topics to last at least 1/2 the year. I still feel that it is well worth the purchase price.
